The negative effects of plastic waste on the environment have only grown to become a global problem over the years. In turn, different efforts have been made to combat the problem, one of them being the production line transforming recycled bottles to fiber. This remarkable technology recycles used plastic bottles to produce useful fibers for various industries such as the garment industry, furniture industry and automotive interiors. By recycling plastics waste into finished products, this production line assists in minimizing waste and pollution, and promotes the circular economy, therefore becomes an important inclusion in manufacturing production system.
Recycling of bottles into fibers
Also, in the recycled bottle to fiber production line, environmentally sound and technologically convenient methods are utilized in the fiber from the PET waste plastic bottle. This is the initial step where PET bottles are collected and sorted and afterwards cleaned to eliminate any impurities such as labels, glue or residues. Following this cleaning procedure, the bottles are then chopped into small flakes so that they can be processed more easily.
Once the PET flakes are formed, they are further processed by extrusion techniques which result in thermally heating and melting the flakes to form a long strand. This strand is then cooled and allowed to harden further after which it is severed into furnace lengths of fibers depending on their use. In the end, high-quality production-grade recycled polyester fiber is obtained, which can be used to produce an array of products ranging from clothes to thermal insulation.
